Introducing Sovereign

Sovereign is the latest candidate game for the Reign franchise. In Sovereign, you are the leader of a real modern nation, similar to Reign 1. Instead of land, you will work with a finite number of tiles. Instead of structures, you will create zones. You will manage your nation primarily by controling your labor force. Based on your labor management strategy, your small nation will evolve into a formitable and prosperous nation.

Sovereign has 3 assets (money, knowledge, morale) and 3 resources (metal, oil, uranium). Every hour your nation's population increases naturally by 5%. Occasionally a Genius citizen will be born, indicated by a purple shirt. Geniuses perform all tasks twice as fast as normal citizens. To create a Soldier, simply drag a citizen to your Military zone and train him. To create an Operative, drag a genius into your Military zone and train him. Soldiers are the basic military unit of your nation. Operatives are tactical units, that can be planted into a zone within an enemy's nation. Once planted, the Operative will stream all information about that zone to you as long as he stays alive.

Operatives aren't just spies though. They're masters of mischief! You can order a planted spy to assassinate citizens, sabotage the zone or even incite dissidence. To protect your nation from this annoyance, staff your military zones with plenty of citizens! With enough citizens employed by your military zones, operatives stand no chance of success in your nation. Once you have a University zone, you can begin researching new technology and design vehicle units. You will be able to select the unit type, weapon system, armor level and engine of your unit. These choices will ultimately effect the unit's performance, production cost and deployment energy cost.

Nations may work together with friends (and enemies of their enemy) by creating or joining an Alliance. Above all, my primary objective is to keep the game intuitive and simple. To accomplish this, I'm trying to weed out the head ache features that stand in the way of fun more so than add depth to the game. One of the ways I hope to accomplish this is by having flat build times, simple unit stats and an easy to understand battle system.

Sovereign is in its concept phase, which means actual development hasn't even begun. So, unfortunately, I have no estimated beta release date at this time.

Introducing Warbrew

Warbrew is my first attempt at a role playing character development web game. I plan to also write a small novel to go along with it. So far so good with Warbrew, although it's proven to be extremely time consuming.

Warbrew is in it's early development phase. I don't expect Warbrew to enter beta any time soon, to be honest. It's actually possible I will never release beta of Warbrew, actually, because my vision for the game requires months and months of development labor. Hopefully I'll find a way to eventually get Warbrew developed some time in the future.

Philosophy: Causian Theory

The physical realm must reside within a container realm because in our physical realm it is impossible for something to come from absolute nothing and equally as implausible for something to innately exist without its own physical cause. To dispute this is to suggest an outside force interjected to produce an effect that defies physics as we understand it.

Therefore, a container reality without these physical constraints is required to explain the effect we call reality. This, I believe, is a suffiecient logical proof to conclude with certainty the existence of a causian realm beyond the physical universe -- a realm that exists free from the constraints of our physical realm, thus permiting infinite existence without a necessary cause.
